The first Serbian disinfection tunnel produced in Sabac
The first disinfection tunnel, which was constructed and produced by a team of young experts from Sabac, was set up in front of the Kovid ambulance of the Health Center. The dezo passage of Sabac innovators neutralizes the potential presence of the virus, disinfects shoes and clothes, all in four seconds.
They designed it and made it in just ten days. They turned all their knowledge and skills into an idea, and soon a realization. A team of mechanical engineers, welders and locksmiths gathered under the auspices of Corten Art constructed a disinfection tunnel, whose 50-liter tank is sufficient for 1,500 disinfection cycles. One cycle lasts four seconds, the time during which the atomizers spray the disinfectant evenly into the micro droplets. Assistance in the realization of the idea came from the Fund for Innovation Activity, and the funds they received will in some way be returned through a donation of six tunnels. The first one was installed in the Kovid ambulance of the Sabac Health Center.
– Our tunnel disperses microdeficiency on the clothes and shoes of the users and in that way, kills the virus on the potential transmitter. It is made of stainless steel, and on the principle of nozzles like those for cooling in the gardens of cafes. After passing through the tunnel, the danger of contamination with viruses and bacteria was eliminated. It is especially useful and topical during the fight and suppression of the kovida pandemic19, as an important and certainly the fastest measure of prevention – explains Bojan Lolić, director and co-owner of the company Corten Art.
The tunnel of Sabac experts has been certified. It is applicable for health institutions, but also for companies, shopping centers, schools … wherever there is a large frequency of people.
– The disinfection tunnel will be of great benefit not only during the coronavirus pandemic and not only the patients, but also the employees. It will contribute to the reduction of intrahospital infections in health institutions – they say in the Health Center “Dr Draga Ljočić” in Šabac. A large number of interested people from the country and abroad are already appearing for the desolation of young innovators.
– We have made 11 pieces so far. In addition to this, which is a donation to the Sabac Health Center, the Innovation Activity Fund will determine five more that will be distributed among institutions in Serbia. I am proud of the whole team that participated in making the disinfection tunnel. We have orders, a lot of calls from interested parties from all sides. However, the greatest pleasure is that we really all managed to do something useful together, but also gave our contribution in the fight against this new virus – says Lolić.
