A team of young people from Šabac, with the help of the Innovation Fund, made the first domestic disinfection passage. A similar principle as for sprinklers in cafe gardens
The FIRST Serbian disinfection tunnel was designed and built in Sabac. A team of young mechanical engineers, technicians, welders and locksmiths from the company “Korten art”, with the help of the Innovation Fund, contoured a prototype of a domestic dezo-passage, and out of ten made, six intend to donate.
– We came up with the idea because we have already used a similar working principle in the company in order to cool down in the summer. Practically, those are the sprinklers in cafes that you see during the heat – Bojan Lolić, the director, introduces us to the story. – When the Innovation Activity Fund announced a competition for innovative solutions in the fight against the pandemic, we immediately responded. We had an interview via “Skype” and the Fund supported us financially. The disinfection tunnel produced by the people of Šapčani is fully automated, and the goal is to disinfect the body, shoes and clothes and neutralize the potential presence of the virus. It weighs 270 kilograms, measures 80 by 150 centimeters and is 2.4 meters high. It has a built-in tank of 50 liters, enough for 1,500 disinfection cycles.
– One cycle lasts four seconds and during that time a microfilm of disinfectant is created on the body, without actually being wet. Particles of 10 to 20 microns are kept from 30 seconds to minutes on the body, ie clothes and shoes, which significantly or almost completely neutralizes the virus – explains Lolić.
TO YOUR CITY
– We can’t wait to see our tunnels in front of medical or social institutions. One will remain in Sabac, and the local administration has decided that he will be placed in front of the Kovid-ambulance of the Health Center in the coming days. The Innovation Fund decides where the remaining five tunnels will be placed – says Lolić.
